The earlier, the better. Ideally, we’re involved from the start—especially if you’re working with an architect. Early collaboration ensures the design reflects your lifestyle while working seamlessly within the architectural framework.
While we don’t have a strict minimum, most of our projects involve multiple rooms or a full-home renovation or new build. Clients typically have a design budget of $20K or more, which allows us to deliver the level of detail, customization, and support we’re known for. If you’re unsure whether your project is the right fit, we’re happy to talk.
Our design fee is a fixed investment, with 50% due upon signing and the remaining balance due prior to your conceptual presentation. Project management during construction is billed hourly. Furnishings are billed in full before ordering to keep the process seamless and efficient.
The design timeline depends on your goals, availability, and the project’s complexity. We provide a clear schedule for each design phase and collaborate with your contractor to align the construction timeline.
We create mood-enhancing, highly functional interiors that bring ease, beauty, and intention to your life—handling every detail from start to finish so you can enjoy a stress-free transformation.
What sets us apart is how deeply we invest in understanding our clients and anticipating their needs. Dana’s background in science trained her to solve complex problems with precision, while personal caregiving taught her to listen with empathy. That mindset carries into every project—Dana Hurley Interiors designs for your life, your rhythms, and your comfort. Clients often say they feel both supported and deeply understood throughout the process. Our work is grounded in intuition, clear communication, and strong spatial flow—resulting in interiors that feel effortlessly elevated and personal.
Our approach is deeply tailored and intuitive, with a strong project management backbone. We focus on how your home feels and functions—not just how it looks—managing all the moving parts so the experience is seamless for you.
Your aesthetic begins with how you want your home to feel—inviting, inspiring, grounded, or serene. I take cues from what resonates with you both visually and emotionally and translate them into a refined, cohesive design direction. The result is a space that reflects your sensibility with quiet confidence and lasting style.
We study your lifestyle, daily rhythms, traffic patterns, and the architecture of your home. From storage to lighting, we design layouts that feel intuitive, functional, and tailored to you.
We ask detailed questions about your cooking style, activities in the kitchen, and current frustrations. Then we design a storage and layout plan that’s effortless and highly personalized.
Yes. We assess what’s working and what’s not, considering life stage, flow, and space needs. We collaborate with your architect and contractor to ensure changes are structurally sound and up to code.
We design custom cabinetry and architectural millwork for nearly every project. These elements are some of the most impactful ways we can bring refinement, functionality, and cohesion to a home.
Our kitchen and bath designs are highly detailed and tailored to how you live. We provide architectural-level drawings that include floor plans, elevations, lighting and electrical layouts, and custom millwork details—all crafted to ensure the final space is both functional and elevated in design.

We provide detailed project drawings and specification documents to ensure clarity and alignment with your construction team. If we’re managing the project, we also attend regular site meetings to address questions and ensure execution stays true to the vision.
We’re happy to recommend trusted partners or work with your existing team. Strong collaboration enhances both the process and the end result.
Yes, and it’s one of the most meaningful finishing touches of the design journey. We source art that resonates emotionally, supports the tone of the space, and feels integrated into the architectural and material palette. We love sourcing from local artists and galleries, adding richness and depth to your home.
We tailor our communication to your preferences (in person, video, or phone). We’re highly responsive—especially during design development—and meet weekly with your contractor if managing the build. We’re here for support and clarity every step of the way.
