Dana Hurley’s early career was in pharmacy and biotech—an unusual start for a designer—working to improve access to life-changing treatments. That background gave her an instinct for problem-solving, precision, and thinking ten steps ahead—with empathy and care that now deeply inform her approach to interiors.
Her expertise stems from personal experience—having worked through her own new builds, renovations, and design projects before formal training at UCLA. That hands-on knowledge means she understands the process from all sides—the excitement, the overwhelm, and the importance of a well-run project.
Today, her projects prioritize stress-free execution, intuitive layouts, and environments that consider both mood and purpose. For Dana, great work is about anticipating needs. What will make your kitchen more intuitive? How can a space flow better for everyday use? What’s the one thing you haven’t thought of but will be grateful for every single day? Her job isn’t just to design—it’s to see what’s needed before you even ask.
Outside of design, you’ll find her traveling, in the garden, golfing, or cooking a meal that’s best enjoyed outdoors—right where home and nature meet.
“I want people to feel whole in their space. I want it to represent the best version of them. A place of respite and engagement.”
“Beyond the talent, she’s a joy to work with: organized, communicative, and always moving things forward.”
